For one of the most unusual and surprisingly sacred experiences you will ever have with your pet, join us for the Blessing of the Animals on October 1st. Come with your pet, a photo of a pet who has passed on, or with just yourself to watch and enjoy. Everyone welcome: dogs, cats, llamas, chickens, hamsters, mice, birds, reptiles, and even stuffed animals! This short service will include hymns, an individual blessing for each animal, and prayers of thanksgiving for their unique compansionship and contributions to our lives. The service will be followed by tea and treats (for both humans and animals).
This event is supported by PetsWest in Broadmead, who have graciously made a donation of a "goodie bag" stuffed full of treats and toys for each pet in attendance. Another thank you to the Pacific Animal Therapy Society (PATS) for thier continuing participation in this annual event.
