Athletes have been known to “carbo-load” before tests of physical endurance. It is not-so-common knowledge that Christians have been known to “carbo-load” before feats of spiritual endurance.

Traditionally, before entering the lean times of Lent, a time of fasting and reflection, Christians would have one last winter feast: a pancake supper (with quality sausages and real maple syrup).

Join us on Shrove Tuesday at 6.00 pm in the Lower Hall for our annual Pancake Supper. The Men’s Breakfast Group and the Youth Group will be serving up pancakes, sausages, fruit, juice, and tea/coffee.

After supper, we’ll burn our palm crosses from last year to prepare the ashes for the Ash Wednesday Service held the next day (Februrary 14) at 7.30 pm. Please bring your palm crosses and a big appetite!

Tickets can be purchased at the door: $7 per person, $15 for a family pass.
