Territorial Acknowledgment
St George’s Cadboro Bay respectfully acknowledges the land we stand and pray on. The soil here holds the history and footsteps of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples. On the traditional and unceded territory of the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, we uphold the hopeful and healing spirit of reconciliation. We promise to walk with truth and love in those footprints that connect and ground us. |

Barbara Burns Paintings
We have a few Barbara Burns' paintings that were found in the old parish office tucked in a corner. On Sunday you are welcome to take one of the paintings available in the Narthex if you'd like one. Barbara Burns (1920-2013) was a long-time parishioner of St. George's and was the one who painted "Mother and Child" which hangs above the altar in the Lady Chapel. |
