What would a Sunday morning look like for my family?

At the 10am service, the kids start by participating in the service and may wish to use our 'prayground' area which allows them to engage in worship with colouring, books and other themed activities.  After a brief Children's Talk lead by the priest, they are invited to go with our Sunday School Teacher to the Lower Hall. They will return in time to join their families shortly before the Eucharist/Communion.

What will my kids do at Sunday School?

Our two adult teachers will lead your kids in activities which relate to the readings the adults are hearing in the service. This could mean hearing a story, doing a craft, or participating in some other educational activity.

Who is welcome to come to Sunday School?

Any child between the ages of 4 and 12 is welcome in Sunday School. We know that God has uniquely created each child and family so we are happy to work closely with your family to ensure that your child feels comfortable in the program.

What if my child is under the age of four?

For children too young for Sunday School, please feel welcome to leave your children in the Nursery with our Nursery Attendants. Your children will be near-by and well-entertained by a variety of toys and books. You are also welcome to stay in the Nursery for the duration of the service; the audio is piped into the room, so you won’t miss a thing. There is also a changing table available in the Nursery, for your convenience. The Nursery is available year-round.

What other activities does St. George's have for kids?

Our fun events during the year include: the Christmas Pageant, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, the fall Homecoming BBQ featuring the famous "ice cream gutter," the Amazing Journey summer day camp, and our annual spring Family Fun Day. You can find all upcoming events in the WHAT'S ON section of our website.
