To allow love to be passed from the cup we all drink from. In this time of Pandemic we realize how important it is to work to create a more loving and just society in which all people can thrive.
In this small group facilitated by Rev. Elizabeth, we will engage in reflective work on racism, belonging and healing through the lens of our faith and our calling as disciples of Jesus.
Together we will read and discuss the book, I've Been Meaning to Tell You: A Letter to My Daughter by David Chariandy. We will also engage other materials to help us understand racism in our society and steps we can take to help us move towards a more just and equitable society.
The group size will be limited to ten in order to keep discussion manageable. Participants are asked to come with an open mind and heart and willingness to learn. Please contact the church office to register. Copies of the book will be ordered for each participant and can be picked up at the church or delivered to your home. The book cost is: $19.95+tax (Bolen Books)
Group will meet on Wednesday evenings at 7pm beginning Wednesday, September 23rd and will run for six weeks.
