Join Christ Church Cathedral for the Pride Week Eucharist service in collaboration with the Church of St John the Divine to rejoice in the fullness of love and diversity in God’s family. Regardless of how you identify, or how you relate to the divine, you are warmly invited to join us, knowing that all sexual orientations and gender identities will be affirmed and proudly celebrated.
Wednesday, July 2, 7.00 pm at Christ Church Cathedral
The presider will be the Rev’d Rebecca Yeo (St Andrew’s Sidney and the University of Victoria) and the sermon will be given by the Very Rev’d Jonathan Thomas. Mark McDonald, Assistant Director of Music, will be directing a pop-up choir (see details below!). The service will be in person and livestreamed.
All are welcome! Come and join us!
Christ Church Cathedral and the Church of St John the Divine invite you to sing in our pick-up choir for the Pride Week Eucharist service on July 2 at 7.00pm at Christ Church Cathedral (Quadra at Courtney). All singing abilities are welcome!
Christ Church Cathedral's Mark McDonald and St John the Divine's David Stratkauskas will run a brief rehearsal before the service at 5.30pm on July 2 to go over the music (some hymns, an anthem, and a simple mass setting). Copies of the music will be available in advance and the pick-up choir is open to all singers of any ability or affiliation. It's a fun and festive way to celebrate Victoria's Pride Week!
Come make a joyful noise with us! Sign up here.
